Privacy statement
What we know about you. And what we do not.
This site works without tracking, without advertising cookies and without visitor profiles. Below is what does happen, in plain language.
Who we are
Hidaia B.V., Molenweer 2, 2291 NR Wateringen, the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 42162228, is the controller for personal data processed through hidaia.nl. Questions about privacy: info@hidaia.nl.
The contact form
When you fill in the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the name of your organisation if you enter it, and your message. We use that information only to respond to your question and to have the conversation that follows from it. Filling in the form is not required. Without your name, email address and message, however, we cannot answer your question.
Legal basis: we process this data to respond to your request before a possible contract, and on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering questions from customers and prospective customers.
Retention: contact form submissions arrive in our mailbox and also remain in our management environment at Netlify until we delete them there. We delete them once your question has been dealt with, and in any case within twelve months of the last contact about it. If you become a customer, we keep the records for seven years, because tax law requires it. If you want us to delete your message sooner, you can ask us to.
The language choice
The site exists in seven languages: Dutch, English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Arabic. On your first visit we choose a language based on the country from which you open the site and the language of your browser. Our hosting provider derives the country from your IP address. We do not store that country or your IP address in the process.
If you choose a language yourself with the language menu at the top of the page, we place one functional cookie, hidaia_lang, containing only the code of the chosen language (nl, en, es, de, fr, it or ar). It stays for one year so that you do not have to choose again each time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in showing you the site in the language you chose. Because the cookie is strictly necessary for that function you requested, no consent is required. You can delete it in your browser; the site will simply keep working.
Files in our tools
On the page Data from models and drawings you read a building model or drawing in your own browser. That file is not sent to us or to anyone else.
The same applies to the Excel dashboard: your file stays in your browser.
Hosting and log files
The site runs at Netlify, Inc. (United States). Netlify acts as our processor and processes technical data such as your IP address, the time and the page requested, in order to deliver and secure the site. Netlify keeps technical log files for a short period, for security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, working and secure.
For the transfer to the United States we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which form part of Netlify's data processing terms. We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone other than the parties we need to make the site and our email work.
What we do not do
No analytics or advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no links to social networks, no fonts or scripts from other parties. We do not take decisions about you based on automated processing or profiling. If we add visitor statistics later, we will choose a variant without cookies and update this statement first.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict the processing, to object, or to receive the data you provided to us in a common file format (data portability). Email info@hidaia.nl; we respond within one month. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
